Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 73–77 degrees; 9.68′ low. Black bass are fair on June bug worms, frogs, and Persuader crankbaits around rocks, and over brush piles in 10–15 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies and minnows off lighted docks at night. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers over baited holes in 12–20 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water lightly stained; 76–80 degrees; 12.42′ low. Black bass are good on chartreuse spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and soft plastic worms. Hybrid striper are fair on white striper jigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows and blue tube jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 71–77 degrees; 32.21′ low. Black bass are fair on topwaters early, later switching to Texas rigs, shallow running shad pattern crankbaits and Carolina rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

Lake Proctor

Water lightly stained; 74–78 degrees; 4.32′ low. Black bass are good on watermelon/black soft plastic worms. Striped bass are good on silver striper jigs. White bass are good on watermelon spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and shad. Yellow catfish are good on live bait.
