A one-vehicle rollover on FM 586, near the Indian Creek community, sent one man to the hospital Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred at approximately 12:40pm in the 1200 block of FM 586, just a mile from the Brown County line according to a DPS Trooper on scene.

According to law enforcement, speed was a likely factor in the wreck as the driver appeared to have lost control of the small Mazda hatchback and traveled into the bar ditch where it began to roll.   The driver, a 34-year-old male, was transported by Guardian EMS to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.  Although he was awake and talking at the scene, the extent of his injuries was unknown at the time of the accident.

Texas Department of Public Safety, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Brownwood Fire Department’s Rescue 1, Guardian EMS and Brookesmith Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
