Michele ReiterMichele Reiter (Rivera), age 38, of Brownwood, Texas, formerly of Loch Sheldrake, N.Y., died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.

Michele attended Tri-Valley School in Grahamsville, N.Y., until her junior year when she transferred and graduated from Fallsburg High School in Fallsburg, N.Y. After graduation she moved to Texas and started a family. Michele’s two children were the light of her life. She spent as much time as she could with them.

Michele was a true blue New York Giants fan, even in Cowboy country. Michele was a department manager at Home Depot in Brownwood. She loved her job and her Home Depot “family”. Michelle had a kind heart and always saw the best in people. She valued her friends and family. Michelle was planning a trip home to New York to spend time with her family enjoying the beautiful fall foliage.

Michele is survived by her two beautiful children, Ty Jalen Reiter and Alexis Nicole Reiter; her ex-husband and friend, Stephen Reiter of Abiline, Texas; her beloved mother, Kathy Rivera-Jones and step-father, Noel Van Jones of Neversink, N.Y.; her father, Destino Rivera of Fajardo, Puerto Rico; her sister Melanny Rivera, of Parksville, N.Y.; her brother, Destiny Rivera of New York, N.Y.; her cousin, Jan Dijkstra of New York, N.Y.; her paternal grandmother, Anita Cornish of Boca Raton, Fla., and paternal grandfather, Felix Rivera of Tamarac, Fla.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, in Texas, at Riverside Park in Brownwood, Texas., the Rev. David Williams will officiate under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, in New York, at Friendship Baptist Church, 11 Upper Ferndale Road, Ferndale, N. Y., the Rev. Harry Brown will officiate.

Memorial Contributions can be made to “Michele Reiter Memorial Fund” c/o Wells Fargo, 1900 N. Bryant Blvd., San Angelo, Texas, 76903.
