Big Country Ford brought a chance for area high school’s project graduation to earn up to $6000 from Ford Motor Corporation’s Drive 4 UR School program to the Brownwood Coliseum on Saturday.

Students and Project Graduation volunteers had booths of food and baked goods to raise money for their end-of-the-year events.  At the same time, Big Country Ford offered several new models of vehicles for the public to test drive and donated $20 to that test driver’s school of choice from Ford Motor Company.

Vehicles featured included the Ford Explorer, Focus, Edge, F150 Eco Boost, The 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel and more.

The event, according to event organizer Kurt Newton, turned out well despite the rain; however not quite the turnout of last year.  Final numbers were not available as of Saturday afternoon.

According to Big Country Ford General Manager Thomas Scull, last year’s event raised over $5,000.00 for Project Graduation and they had a goal of reaching the $6,000.00 offered to area schools by Ford Motor Company.

High schools represented included Brownwood, Early, Bangs, May and Zephyr.

Pictured above are volunteers signing up drivers for the event.  Below are other photos from the event.
