Thursday, September 13

*9:12am-Brownwood Police received a report of identity theft.  According to the complainant, her social security number had been fraudulently used to set up an electric account at a residence where she has never lived.  The energy company provided limited information but did provide the address where the electric service was set up.

*3:46pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding the theft of gasoline.  A description of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle were given to police, the report states.

Saturday, September15

*1:00am-Brownwood Police received a report that a complainant’s vehicle tire had been punctured by a known suspect while parked at a make-shift parking area of the Brownwood Reunion.  The incident occurred in the early morning hours.

Monday, September 17

*4:33am-Brownwood Police observed a motorcycle sitting in the middle of the roadway in the in the 800 block of Hendricks, behind Degal’s Auto Sales, facing northwest in the northbound side of the roadway.  According to the report, the motorcycle was unattended and had wires exposed where the ignition switch should be.  When the owner of the sales lot was contacted, it was found that the motorcycle belonged to him and had been removed from the lot and that another motorcycle had also been stolen from his lot recently.  No arrests were made at the time of the report.

*7:40am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of 8th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that several items were stolen from their residence while the complainant was out of town.  Names of several possible suspects were given, the report states.

Tuesday, September 18

*1:42am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Magnolia regarding domestic violence.   According to the report, the victim stated her ex-husband force his way into the residence, refused to leave and then injured the hand of the victim.  The suspect left prior to officer’s arrival, the report states.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
