The American Southwest Conference today announced its volleyball players of the week and Howard Payne’s Hannah Hicks was honored as the West Division Defensive Player of Week.

Howard Payne junior middle hitter Hannah Hicks (Flower Mound, Texas / Coram Deo Academy) totaled 16 blocks over nine sets, including conference sweeps of Schreiner and Sul Ross State. Hicks, who took top weekly offensive player of the week honors earlier this season, added 20 kills, three digs and one assist. Eight of her blocks came against SU.

Hicks receives an ASC player of the week award for the second time this season. She was named the ASC West Division Offensive Player of the Week in the first week of the season.
