Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Michael Wayne Caraway pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, institutional Division.

Travis Edward Anderson, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon, was adjudicated and sentenced to 35 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Bernell Deon McClay pled no contest to the felony offense of Stalking and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Christopher Lee Johnson pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 15 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Johnson, on probation for the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance was revoked and sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Israel Cintron Rivera, pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Rivera, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Enhanced was revoked and sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Christopher Norred pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Robbery and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Elizabeth Chandler, on probation for the felony offense of Claiming a Lottery Prize by Fraud was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Chandler, on probation for the offense of Abandoning and Endangering a Child, was revoked and sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Eric Jermaine Fields, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon, was adjudicated and sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Gary Dwon Brown, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Public Servant, was revoked and sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Joseph Baize, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was sentenced to 180 days, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
