The Brownwood Reunion Celebration began Friday with cloudy skies and cool weather as thousands of people flooded the downtown area for the first day of competitions, music, and fun.

The highlight for day one was the Friday night concert on the main celebration stage that featured 1980s rocker Rick Springfield performing for thousands of spectators.  Friday also saw the start of the Hands on a House competition, the opening of the Classic Car Show, and Kids Zone, the BBQ cook-off, the Pride of Texas Midway, the opening reception of the photography contest, other live music, vendor booths, lots of food, and tons of fun.

Great activities such as the rock climbing wall, bubble runners, dunking booth also offered fun for all ages.

Saturday will kick in high gear with non-stop attractions, contests, and more music featuring country music sensation Wade Bowen.
