LionsClubIntLogoThe Lake Brownwood Lions Club will be hosting their annual hearing and vision screenings at area schools throughout September and October.

Every year, the Lions Club goes to area schools and performs hearing and vision screening for all students.  Members are all state certified and refer students who do not pass the screening to a local doctor and when there is a need, they even pay for the visit and for their glasses.

Lake Brownwood Lions Club member Starleen Cline stated that the club has been offering the program for several years.

“We do this every year.  As matter of fact, in the last 6 years we have screened more than 20,000 students!” said Cline.

The program has visited the Rising Star, Cherokee and May ISDs and has the following schedule for this year.  Lions Club members encourage parents to have their children attend and bring their eyeglasses the day of screening.

Sept 17 – Zephyr ISD

Sept 18 – Coleman ISD

Sept 19 – Coleman ISD

Sept 20 – Victory Life Academy, Brownwood

Sept 25 – Early ISD

Sept 26 – Bangs ISD

Sept 27 – Bangs ISD

Sept 28 – Mullin ISD

Oct 1 – Early ISD (day 2)

Oct 3 – Santa Anna ISD

Oct 4 – Cross Plains ISD
