The local competition for the NFL’s Punt, Pass, and Kick was held Tuesday evening at Coggin Park.  The 5 participant’s ages ranged from 6 to 13. Each contestant was given one chance for a punt, pass and kick. The events were then scored based on the distance.

For scoring, the judges used a tape measure that was laid out directly in front of the starting mark. Points were taken away from the total according to the distance the football landed to either side of the tape measure. After all three events were completed, the totals were added together to give each participant a final score.

The winners in each age group and their scores are listed below:

Girls 6/7:

Britni Rogers, 60.3 ft.

Boys 6/7:

Quinten McCarty, 58.10 ft.

Boys 10/11:

Adonis McCarty Jr., 247.11 ft.

Boys 12/13:

Caleb Hernandez, 229.80 ft.

The finalists will compete in October at McMurry University in Abilene.
