StewartJoyFuneral services for Joy Stewart, 81, of Brownwood, formerly of Cross Plains, will be held at 3 PM on Friday, September 14, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Hinojosa officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday morning, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, preceding the service, at the funeral home.

Joy Josephine White was born on August 5, 1931 in Belton Texas to Albert White and Lillie Sorrels White. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and reading in her spare time. Ms. Stewart was a member of the Abundant Life Church and had lived in Brownwood since 1988, moving here from Cross Plains.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Vic Curry of Missouri, Roger Curry of Brownwood, Joe Curry of Clyde, and Gary Beason, David Beason and Terry Beason, all of Brownwood; daughters, Joy Brandstetter of Clyde, and Brenda Johnson and Cynthia Ryan, both of Brownwood. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one brother, one sister and her caregiver and special friend, Debra Hagans.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
