ArenaThe Heart of Texas Cowboy Church will be holding a trail ride and team sorting events on September 7th, 8th, and 9th. The weekend will include meals and a ‘porch session’ after the sorting on Saturday.

Campers are invited to the church on Friday the 7th after 6pm to stay for the weekend.  A pot luck supper will be held on Friday night and, attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite dish.

Trail rides will be held on Saturday and Sunday mornings.  A brisket plate lunch will be provided on the trail ride for $7.00 at the Clear Creek Cook Off.  On Saturday and Sunday, breakfast will be provided as well as dinner on Saturday night.

The team sorting will be held on Saturday, September 8th.  Books open at 4pm and sorting will begin at 5pm.  The entry fee is $15 each, and contestants can enter up to 3 times, unless there is a large turnout which will then be limited to 2 entries.  Contestants do not have to be a part of the trail ride to enter, and there will be a jackpot for the winner.  Attendees who are musically inclined are encouraged to bring their instruments for a porch session after the sorting.

Donations are accepted and appreciated.

For more information or directions call, Shannon Sutherland at 325-642-5910, John W. Lawson at 325-647-8378 or visit their website at www.heartoftexascowboychurch.org.  The Heart of Texas Cowboy Church is located 10 miles south of Brownwood on 377 at the corner of FM 586 & 377.
