Memorial services for James Austin Reece, 66, of Bangs, formerly of Snyder Oklahoma, will be held at a later date. His body was cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations in Brownwood Texas.

Mr. Reece died on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

James Austin Reece was born on December 10, 1945 in Hobart Oklahoma, to William Austin Reece and Dorothy Agnes Messick Reece. He was raised and attended school in Snyder Oklahoma and worked as a draftsman in Engineering. He had lived in Bangs for the last 14 years, moving there from Snyder Oklahoma.

Survivors include his two brothers, William Max Reece and wife Melba, of Wichita Falls and Larry Reece of Comanche. He is also survived by a sister-n-law, Sandy Reece of Bangs and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Reece, and one brother, Micky Reece.
