HarlanA celebration of praise and worship for the life of Patti Harlan will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday August 27, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Brownwood with Dr. Don Scroggs officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.  Heartland Funeral Home of Early is in charge of arrangements.

Patti passed from this life on Friday, August 24, 2012 at her residence.

Patricia Gail Snider Harlan was born on January 15, 1954 in Rocksprings to Orvil E. and Pauline (Miller) Snider. She grew up in Colorado City, attended high school in Wichita Falls and two years at Howard Payne University. She married Bill Harlan on December 23, 1984 in Belton.  Patti followed Bill through his career as a school administrator in various locations across the state of Texas.  She worked as a teaching assistant in the Eula, Kemp, Sonora, and Abilene school districts.  Her outgoing personality made her a favorite with her students.

Patti and Bill enjoyed traveling to many locations including the Caribbean and Europe.

Patti was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Johnson Sunday School Class.

Patti is survived by her husband, Bill Harlan of Brownwood; a daughter, Cherie Smith of Venus, two sons Carey Smith of Venus, Scott Christian Harlan of Dallas; three grandchildren, Casey Stroud, Danielle Stroud, and Xavier Harlan; three sisters, Diane Gatty of Belton, Dorothy Schlitt of Ruidoso, New Mexico, and Katherine Funderburk of Greenville, South Carolina.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents.
