Rachel Leigh Pruett

PruettRachelRachel Leigh Pruett, 16, of Ackworth, Iowa, formerly of Columbia, Iowa and also Brownwood, Texas, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, in a fatal farm accident in Rolla.

Memorial services for Rachel Leigh Pruett will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla.

Rachel was born May 15, 1996, in St. Louis to Ronald and Janice (Mangiameli) Pruett.

Rachel attended Indianola High School in Indianola, Iowa, where she excelled at math and science. She loved sports, music and spending time with her friends.

Rachel was a friendly, caring person and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her parents, Ronald and Janice Pruett of Ackworth, Iowa; brother Shane Pruett of Ackworth, Iowa; grandparents William “Jack” and Joyce Pruett of Rolla and John and Barbara Mangiameli of Ackworth, Iowa; families of Roger Pruett, Debbie O’Shea and John DiBari; along with many extended family and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the future Rachel Leigh Pruett Scholarship Fund. Cards are available at all James & Gahr locations.

Arrangements are under the direction of James & Gahr Mortuary of Rolla.
