Wednesday, August 15

*11:56am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding debit/credit card abuse.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had previously given her granddaughter her debit card and its pin number so she could make authorized transaction; however she believed that she has now made 34 unauthorized purchases totaling $675.58 for her own personal use with the card.  Based on the information and evidence provided to the officer, a warrant is being sought for the juvenile female suspect for the unauthorized use of the credit/debit card without the consent of the cardholder and using it with the intent of obtaining benefit, according to the report.  The investigation is ongoing.

Thursday, August 16

*5:12am-Brownwood Police were called to the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her rental car was “keyed” in the 1300 block of 11th Street while she was at a friend’s house.  She stated that she parked the vehicle in front of another female’s home, whom she does not get along with, the report states.

*7:54am-Brownwood Police were called to the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding a hit and run.  According to the complainant, a vehicle had struck a brick fence in front of his residence.

*10:27am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Custer Road regarding fraud.  According to the delivery company, the company had delivered several packages to a residence which were possibly purchased with a stolen credit card.

*4:06pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding an intoxicated male subject.  According to the report, the male, identified as Guadalupe Soriano, was sleeping and had open bottles of beer next to him.  After speaking with Soriano and conducting standard field sobriety tests, he was arrested for Public Intoxication, the report states.

*6:16pm-Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Avenue E regarding an alleged assault that happened at a local daycare.  According to the complainant, her son was choked and scratched by a worker while at the daycare.  The incident is under investigation, the report states.

*8:29pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of Norwood Street regarding forgery.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he found one of his checks had been used without his permission when he checked his online banking.  The incident is pending further investigation.

*8:40pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Almond Street regarding criminal trespass.  According to the report, the complainant wished for her nephew to be arrested for trespassing.  The complainant later wished to have three of her family members issued trespass warnings, the report states.

*10:06pm-Brownwood police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a subject had threatened him and his family.  A suspect was identified; however could not be located and the incident is pending further investigation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Bethany Ruth Prosise for Possession of Marijuana.

Friday, August 17

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 36-year-old Michael Harvey Deleon for Driving While Intoxication.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
