Brownwood’s Got Talent Competition to Select Top 10 Finalists

logoAuditions for the Brownwood’s Got Talent competition are set for this Saturday where the field of registered participants will be narrowed down to the top 10 finalists.  Contestants will be auditioning this Saturday, August 18th at the Lehnis Railroad Museum from 4-8 pm where the panel of judges will narrow down the performers to advance to the next round at this year’s Brownwood Reunion Celebration where a winner will be named. On August 21st, the 10 finalists will be announced and interviewed on KOXE.

“We want everybody to come and watch, we’ve got a great variety of talent this year,” said Tammy Robinson, Brownwood’s Got Talent Committee Chairperson.

Some of the talents that will be featured on Saturday include a banjo player, a yodeler, a comedian, and more.  Contestant’s ages range from 12 to 64. The public is encouraged to attend and watch the Saturday auditions.

The judges include Carl Wayne from KOXE, Ben Cox from The Breeze, Eric and Jill Evans, Amy Murphy, Angela Coronado, and James Caruth.

The top 10 will perform on the ‘Lone Star Stage’ on Saturday, September 15th from 1-4 pm during the Brownwood Reunion Celebration.  After the competition at Reunion, the judges will choose the winner which will be announced at 7pm on September 15th on the Celebration Stage.  The winner will then perform on the stage that Saturday night and receive 2 VIP passes to the main stage concerts.
