The Brownwood Lions hit the practice field for the first time on Monday to prepare for the upcoming 2012 football season.

The Lions have a pair scrimmages scheduled before the season officially starts.   Class 2A Godley will be the first scrimmage on August 17 at home.  The Lions will then travel to Marble Falls for the second scrimmage on August 24th.

The first regular season game is set for Friday, August 31st when the Lions hit the road to play the Ft. Worth All Saints.

Brownwood will host their annual ‘Meet the Lions’ event on Monday, September 3rd at 6pm where all middle school and high school fall sports athletes will be introduced to the fans at Gordon Wood Stadium.
