With summer band starting this week, the Early High School Longhorn Band is already hard at work. Under the Direction of Jason Jones, the band started marching practice on the Early Longhorn practice field.

‘This is our first day out here, and the kids are already doing a great job,” says Jason Jones, Early Band Director.

This year the band is made up of about 60 members led by drum majors Ryan Contreras and Amy Hurtado. The show the band will be performing for this year is called “Colors of Jazz.”

The Longhorn band will continue practicing in the coming weeks to prepare for the upcoming football season.
