Brownwood Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at Avenue K and 10th Street which sent one teenage female to the hospital for evaluation.

According to the officer on scene, the accident involved a Mercury Grand Marquis and a Dodge Avenger.

Witnesses on scene state that obstructed view may have contributed to the cause of the accident, as three pickup trucks were parked near the intersection along Avenue K, blocking the driver of the Avenger’s view.

The Marquis, traveling northeast on Avenue K, was reported to have struck the rear of the Avenger as it crossed the intersection traveling southwest on 10th Street.

Two of the Avenger’s occupants were shaken but uninjured.  The driver of the Mercury was also reported to be uninjured.
