The Texas School Safety Center will be presenting “Digital Wellness: Protecting Yourself and Youth While Online” at the Brownwood High School Auditorium on August 7 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Technology has evolved faster than most of us realize, and there is much adults and youth need to catch up on when it comes to being safe, responsible, and productive while using the Internet, computers, cell phones, smart phones, etc.

The presenter of this workshop will bring parents up to speed regarding best practices when online and using mobile devices, as well as discuss current issues regarding cyberbullying and sexting.  Prevention and response strategies to consider will be addressed.

This session is open to parents, students, and area community members.
