Putter Jarvis to be Honored at 2012 Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner

JarvisPutterThe Boy Scouts of America, Texas Trails Council will honor Brownwood resident Putter Jarvis on August 14th as the 2012 distinguished citizen.

The honor will be presented to Jarvis at the Boy Scout’s 2012 Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner that will be held in Brownwood.

“It is our pleasure to honor Putter Jarvis as the recipient of the 2012 Distinguished Citizen Award in recognition of his outstanding leadership and service to our country, our state, and our community,” said Judge Steve Ellis, President of the Texas Trails Council. “There are few men any more dedicated to the principals the Boy Scouts of America have stood for, for over 100 years. We welcome you to join us in the celebration.”

The award presentation will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012 with a dinner at 7:00 p.m. at the Brownwood Coliseum. Dr. Don Newbury will be the master of ceremonies for the event.
