Local Churches to Host Vacation Bible Schools

IncrediWorldSouthsideChurchA summertime tradition for many children and church members, Vacation Bible School is a special activity and many local churches are working hard to make that experience happen for children again this summer.    Customarily offered are weeks full of learning about God and Christian teachings, arts & crafts, plus Kool-Aid and lots of cookies.

Schedules of vacation bible schools that are being offered in the coming weeks are below.

July 22-26:

Southside Church is hosting “Incrediworld Amazement Park:  Join the thrill ride through God’s creation” for ages 4 to 6th grade and will be held from 6:00-8:30pm.  Activities will include:  crafts, snacks, bible studies, drama, and midway games.  For more information and to sign up online go to: http://answersvbs.com/vbs/SouthsideVBS/.   Southside Church is located at 1219 Indian Creek, in Brownwood. 325-646-8128

August 5-9:

Midtown Baptist Church will host “The Kingdom of Isathand – A place where every child can find adventure and purpose”, each evening from 6:30-8:45.  Midtown Baptist Church is located at 1813 3rd Street in Brownwood.  325-643-9001

June 14-July 26:

Austin Avenue Church of Christ will be hosting the “Kids Matter Kamp” each Thursday through July 26th, from 10:30am-12:00pm for children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade.  Austin Avenue Church of Christ is located at 1020 Austin Avenue in Brownwood.

July 29-August 2

Milton Avenue Baptist Church will host Vacation Bible School from 6:00pm-8:30pm Sunday through Thursday, July 29-August 2.  Former HPU Students from Bethel Church Lavernia, Texas will be leading the VBS at Milton Avenue Baptist Church, which is located behind the Brownwood Coliseum.  Transportation is offered each night.  Anyone who needs a ride to VBS can call 325-646-0866 by 5:00pm the night before you plan to attend to schedule a ride.

Churches not listed are invited to email information and graphics to emily@brownwoodnews.com.  Brownwood News will gladly publicize all VBS programs in the area.
