Armstrong’s Take Second Win at Hubbard Creek 2 of Us Tournament

Danny and Brenda Armstrong came out on top with their catch at the 2 of Us Couples Tournament on Lake Hubbard Creek on May 19th.  With their five fish limit for a total of 16.21 pounds, they take the lead for Anglers of the Year.

A total of 23 fish were caught by participants with total weight of 64.14 pounds.  There were 4 couples with 5 fish limits.

Bruce and Jennetta Toeppich (pictured above) were 2nd place with their 5 fish stringer for a total of 15.95 lbs.  Jennetta Toeppich had the Women’s Big Bass with her 4.5 lb bass.

3rd place went to Cory and Deirdre Colyer of Abilene with their 5 fish stringer for a total of 13.7 lbs.

4th place went to Johnny and Ina Grice (pictured above) with their 5 fish stringer for a total of 10.61 lbs.  Johnny also had the men’s big bass with his nice bass weighing in at 5.10 lbs.

5th place went to Gary Webb and Phyllis Crable with a 3 fish stringer for a total of 7.67 lbs.

“Everyone had a great day and as always the wind was blowing, we’re getting used to that,” said 2 of Us member Jennetta Toeppich.  “We want to thank all of our sponsors: Cullen’s Home Town Marketing, Willie’s T’s, Trees Forever, Sharlette Bain for Mary Kay Cosmetics, Napa, Gary Webbs Wood Works, Sportsman Center, Red Wagon, and Trans Texas Tires.”

The next 2 of Us tournament will be held June 16th on Sweetwater Lake.
