Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3278 and the Ladies’ & Men’s Auxiliary will observe Flag Day by joining with Junior ROTC-West Texas and all local Boy Scouts.  The public is invited to attend the event.

The observance will be held at HPU (north side at Austin Ave & Fisk), at 5:45 PM Thursday, June 14th.  Thursday is also the 237th Birthday of the United States Army.

The ceremony will be conducted in accordance with the US Code Flag Retirement procedures.

Those observing are asked t bring their own lawn chairs and water because of the heat. The ceremony will last approximately 30 minutes.
