BrownwoodFury2012PreStateTourney

Brownwood Fury did it again this past Saturday, June 9th, taking 1st in a 14U pre-state tournament which was held at the Lady Lion Softball field.

Fury lost their first game of the day against Lampasas 2-1, won the next against Stephenville 3-1, and came alive against Hawley 8-1.  Finally in a rematch against Lampasas for the Championship, Brownwood pulled out the win in double ITB 8-4.

The girls would like to thank Coach Sheffield and Coach Shipley for allowing them to use Brownwood High School’s facility since the city complex was still too wet from the much needed rain.  Also, the team thanks the community for their support during all our fund raising efforts preparing for a trip to Texas City for the 12U ASA class B state tournament which will be held this weekend.

Pictured above are:  Back row – Coach Sal Perez, Ashley Jones, Erin Anderson, Bridgett Everett, Coach Amanda Sheffield, JaKobee Holloway, Breyle Sauseda, and Coach Marcus Sanders.  Front row are Zoey Matthews, Danyelle Gongora, Madison Sanders, Vanessa Perez, Mya McDowell, and Emily Perez.
