CogginOutdoorFamilyExpoCoggin Avenue Baptist Church will host a Family Outdoor Expo at Riverside Park from 10:00am-4:00pm on Saturday, June 16th and the public is invited to attend this free event. It is designed to bring families together for a fun-filled day enjoying many outdoor booths and activities.

Along with the outdoor events, there will be a canned food drive for Good Samaritan Ministries and participants are invited to help “stock the truck.” There will also be concessions for sale which will benefit the Coggin Youth Group and the Christian Women’s Job Corps.

Events to be enjoyed include:

  • Pellet Shooting Gun Range: a state-of-the-art Kevlar air rifle range
  • Remote Control Truck Races
  • Kayak Paddling
  • Archery
  • Paintball Shooting Range
  • Live Catfish Pond
  • Rock Climbing Walls
  • Putt Putt Golf
  • Disc Golf Course : First 500 players will receive free Frisbees
  • Jr. Creation Adventure:  Children will be able to walk through tents that are based on each of the seven days of creation.
  • Educational displays:  Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Corps of Engineers, and US Army will have interactive educational booths

According to organizers, the Family Outdoor Expo is one of the largest outdoor expos in Texas of its kind. It is unique in being a totally free event and offers many outdoor experiences for the whole family.
