Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

James Adelbert Russell pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Zebulon Eli Vanhorn pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to 30 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Tanner Chamberlain pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Robbery and was sentenced to 12 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Alyshia Winstead, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Robbery, was adjudicated and sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Todd Russell Sims, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation, was adjudicated and sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Dennis Murdock, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation, was revoked and sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Raul Cadena pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 7 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jason Scott Coffey pled guilty to the felony offenses of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Assault Family Violence – Occlusion and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.

Jason Wesley Richards pled guilty to the felony offense of Money Laundering and was sentenced to 24 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.  Further Richards, on probation for the felony offense of Theft of a Firearm, was revoked and sentenced to 24 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Valery Dawn Gomez-Ortega, on probation for the felony offense of Criminal Mischief, was revoked and sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Denise Campbell, on probation for the felony offense of Credit Card Abuse was revoked and sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Marcos Daniel Mares, Jr. pled guilty to the felony offense of Continuous Violence Against Family and was sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
