Before Voting against Someone Know Who You are Voting For

I’ve lived in Brown County for 38 years.  I retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety with thirty years of service working in several counties, in cooperation with multiple law enforcement agencies and on various assignments.  I’ve seen many sheriffs come and go.  This current Brown County Sheriff’s Office is the best run I’ve seen anywhere.  The employees have to meet high standards in their duty or they are gone.  Dismissals and/or disciplinary actions are administered according to law and established procedures.  Good practices are in place and upheld.  Our Sheriff is a quiet man who has good judgment.

I have been acquainted with Brock Johnson for a number of years.  I’m sure Brock did a good job with the drug task force but he was not a supervisor.  As far as I know, he has never supervised or managed anyone or anything.  Unfortunately, he may have been ill advised that he became a candidate for Sheriff.

Before you vote AGAINST someone, you need to know who you are voting FOR.  Bobby Grubbs has proven himself as a leader and a supervisor.  We surely don’t need to go back to the “good ole’ boy” type of Sheriff’s Office as were some in the past.  The citizens of Brown County should be proud of their Sheriff’s Office.

Respectfully,

Norton D. Taylor
