Royce Camp

CampRoyceRoyce Camp, 68, of Brownwood and Gainesville , passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012, at The Courtyards in Fort Worth with loved ones by his side. As he had requested, his body will be cremated under the direction Netherton Funeral Home, and a private service will be held at a later date.

Royce Wayne Camp was born on November 12, 1943, in Ardmore Oklahoma, to Roy Lynn Camp and Glynn Ocie Westerman Camp. He was raised and attended school in Ardmore and had lived in Brownwood for the last 13 years, and off and on in Gainesville since 2009. He had been in the trucking industry for 40 years before his retirement. His favorite pastime was fishing.

Mr. Camp is survived by: one daughter, Laura Flatt of Tulsa Oklahoma; three brothers, Roger Camp and wife Anita, of Brownwood, and Charles Camp and Danny Camp, both of Gainesville; three sisters, Comella McDorman of Brownwood, Marty Straach and husband Gary, of McKinney, and Ginger Camp of Valley View Texas. He is also survived by a half sister, Karen Doan of Bryan as well as his special friend, Nancy Langley, numerous nieces and nephews that he loved so much, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Glynn Camp, his grandparents, and two uncles.
