Harvey Alvis “Buster” Fisher

fisherHarvey Alvis “Buster” Fisher, age 84, of Everman and formerly of Brown County died Sunday, April 29, at his home following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with his son, Rev. Lincoln Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Salt Creek Cemetery.

Buster was born July 31, 1927 in Brown County, the son of the late Harvey Lee and Gladys Hibler Fisher. He grew up and attended schools in the Owens Community. He was married to Chlorene Barton in Brownwood on February 13, 1948. She preceded him in death on September 5, 1996. To this union was born a daughter, Shelia Ann in 1955 and a son, Lincoln in 1966.

He loved to watch football and baseball and loved cars, cars, and more cars. He knew every kind of car the family ever had and had a large collection of different classic cars in his lifetime. He was a talented left-handed repairman that could repair and rebuild almost anything.

He served in the Korean Conflict serving in the U. S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1955. He worked as a machinist for many years retiring from Halliburton. He had been a resident of Everman for the past 39 years and formerly had lived in Alabama and Fort Worth. He was a member of the Salt Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Lincoln Fisher and wife Christy of Mansfield
A Grandson, Jordan Fisher and wife Brandi Greenfeather of Piedmont, Oklahoma and their son, Malachi Greenfeather
A step-grand-daughter, Wendy Ezell and husband Daryl of Grapevine and their children, Hanna, Dylan, and Alden
A step-grandson, Bradley Woodruff of Arlington and his son Jeffrey

3 Sisters – Novelyn King of Early, Una May Eoff and husband G. W. of Early, and Ann Edgar and husband Jim of Early.

A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Chlorene, his infant daughter, Shelia Ann Fisher, and a brother –in-law, Walter King.
