SkinnerFuneral Services for Stephanie Shaylyn Skinner, age 23 of Brownwood, TX, will be held Wednesday April 25, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Brownwood Evangelism Center with Ken Colegrove officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place Thursday April 26, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Burkburnett Cemetery in Burkburnett, TX. She passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 in Brownwood, Texas. Stephanie was born on July 14, 1988, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Joel Lee Skinner Jr. and Beverly Ann (Powell).

Stephanie graduated from Burkburnett High School in 2007 and then moved to Brownwood shortly after. She began working at the Boys and Girls Club in Brownwood and also attended Massage Therapy School. Stephanie loved animals and children. She was a “people person” and enjoyed everyone’s company and was friendly to anyone she met. She liked listening to country music and actively attended Brownwood Evangelism Center.

She is survived by her father, Joel Lee Skinner Jr. of Wichita Falls, TX; 3 brothers, David Cunningham (Henderson) of Waco, TX, Christopher Henderson, Shawn Skinner; grandmother, Marylene Dorton of Burkburnett, TX; uncle, Jim Dickerson; her boyfriend, Mike Launders of Brownwood; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, a host of friends, and her beloved dog, Missy Lou.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Ann (Powell); 2 grandfathers, Ed Powell and Jimmy Dorton; great-grandparents; Tom Beard and Gladys Ward; and uncle, Thomas Jefferson Beard.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
