Animal Control Officers were honored by the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center Tuesday.  Administrative Manager of CTSAC Freda Day, in recognition of April being Animal Control Appreciation Month, offered words of appreciation of Brownwood Animal Control officers Nick Ferguson and Thomas Carroll.  Day stated that many times the public thinks that animal control officers work for the animal center, when reality they are employees of the City of Brownwood who work really effectively with CTSAC and are very beneficial to both the staff at the animal center and to the welfare of animals in the community.

“The staff and the board of the animal shelter want to express our appreciation for everything you do for us and for the outstanding service you provide to the citizens of Brownwood,” stated Day.  “Most people have no idea what you guys do, you go beyond the call of duty and we want to thank you.”
