The Early Chamber of Commerce held the first political forum of this election season Thursday night as local candidates told the public why they should be elected.

Candidates in the local elections to be held on May 12th kicked off the event with candidates for the Early ISD school board, Early city council, and the Brown County Water Improvement District #1 board.

County candidates running in the May 29th Republican Primary also spoke about why they are running for office for county commissioner precinct 1 and 3, county sheriff, and constable precinct 3.

Some candidates answered questions directly from forum moderator Ross Setzler as well as questions submitted from the audience.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will also host a forum on Friday, April 20th and the Brown County Republican Party will host a forum the night of Tuesday, April 24th at Adams Street Community Center.

Pictured at top are County Commissioner Precinct 1 candidates Tommy Blevins, Bryan Harvey, and Vance Hill.
