Layken Smith was honored by the Blanket city council and Mayor Judy Eoff recently for her work on a new city letterhead/Logo contest.

There were 68 entries in the contest to design a new letterhead for the city from Coach Burt’s business and technology classes.

Layken is a 7th grader and she was the only junior high student to make the finals. The other entire finalist was from the high school.

Mayor Eoff presented Layken with an appreciation award in recognition of her participation in the contest.  A cash prize was also awarded.
