Dolores Irene Thomas, 81 formerly of Brownwood passed away on April 3, 2012 in Andrews, TX. Dolores was born October 7, 1930 to Herbert & Earlene Mattiza of Brownwood, TX. She was a beautiful brunette with sparkling eyes and a loving and infectious spirit. She caught the eye Dalton Thomas and their love story of 65 years started on September 2, 1947.

Dolores’s hospitality was legendary and her influence was from her heart and from her spirit. She loved to entertain anywhere. Dalton’s career took them throughout the world from Houston to Greece, She loved listening to country musicals, laughing with family and friends, and being a devoted member of Delta Theta Sorority. Her most devoted love was being a wife and mother.

She is survived by her dedicated husband Dalton of Andrews; a loving sister, Cleta Garms of Andrews; three precious daughters, Teri Simpson of Andrews, Toni Orbison of Trophy Club and Vickie Walker of Houston; six treasured grandchildren, eight special great grandchildren and countless friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation Friday, April 6 from 6pm to 8pm at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 800 Center Ave. Graveside services will be held at 10am, Saturday, April 7th, at Eastlawn Memorial park, in Early.
