Wendlee Broadcasting, KQBZ, The Breeze 102.3 FM, is hosting their 4th Annual Great Easter Egg Hunt at Coggin Park Saturday, April 7th for kids ages 7 and under.  The first hunt will begin at 11:00am.

Separate hunts for each age group will be held:  3 and under, 4-5 and 6-7.  More than 2,000 children are expected.  Be sure to bring an Easter basket or sack for each child participating.

“It’s the biggest and best Easter Egg Hunt in Central Texas with over 15,000-18,000 pieces of candy and candy filled eggs!,” said Mariann Tackett of Wendlee Broadcasting.  “It just gets bigger and bigger every year and this year all events are free.”

Children are sure to enjoy the Brownwood Fire Department’s fire trucks which will be on display, bounce house, the inflatable obstacle course, pony rides and refreshments from the Dr. Pepper trailer.  Bring a camera to take pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny.

There will also be a classic car show by Heartland Cruisers.

The “Bunny with the Money” will also be given away to a lucky winner at the event.  The winner will receive a huge stuffed bunny with a basket full of candy and toys plus $100 cash.  You must register at a live KQBZ remote broadcast before the Great Easter Egg Hunt.  These remotes will be held throughout this week.

Brownwood High School Key Club members have volunteered to help stuff thousands of eggs for the event.

All events are free thanks to sponsors such as Brookshire’s, Bruner Auto Group, Schlotzsky’s, Dr. Pepper, and the public is invited to come and enjoy this event.
