The Brownwood High School Lady Lions Golf Team participated in the District 5-3A Girls Golf Tournament at Abilene’s Maxwell Golf Course on Wednesday.

According to the coach, the team did well, but hope to do better in the coming weeks.  One standout, Macie Maxwell, is noted as a regional hopeful by BHS Girls Golf Coach Laura Martin.

“We have a very young team this year with only one return varsity player, Macie Maxfield.  Macie had a great backside with a 39 giving her an 85 for the day, her personal best,” said Coach Martin.  “This puts her in the race for regionals. I am proud of all the girls and hope to improve our standings next week!”
