The HPU Social Work Club will be hosting the Cinderella Project (Prom Dress Giveaway) on Friday, March 30th from 4-6PM and Saturday, March 31st from 10AM-2PM in Howard Payne’s Girling Center for Social Justice located on Austin Avenue (next to the Academy of Freedom).

Through this annual project, HPU’s social work club helps girls who cannot afford to purchase prom dresses find the dress to make them feel like Cinderella.  This year over 100 dresses in various styles and sizes are available to choose from.  The program is offered to any girl from Brown or the surrounding counties who cannot afford a prom dress.

Donations of formal dresses have come from students, faculty and staff of HPU along with some from Second Chance Consignment Shop.  It’s not too late to donate a dress, anyone interested may call Cynthia Givens at 325-649-8201 or email [email protected].

The HPU Social Work Club consists of 18 members who are social work majors.  Pictured at top are some of the club members who are helping with the Cinderella Project.  Pictured are (left to right) Karla Kalantar, JulieAnn Steubing, Katy McBeth, and Christa Ramon
