Karen Johnson

Karen Gail Johnson was born on Feb. 24, 1962, in Richmond, Va., to Fred E. Johnson and Gloria Friese Johnson. Karen was a nurse/caregiver and graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Richmond, Va., in 1988. She was a loving mother to her son, Isaiah Johnson.

Karen passed away on March 25, 2012, in San Saba. She was an excellent caregiver to Mrs. Bonnie Harkey of San Saba.

Karen is survived by her son, Isaiah, of San Saba; her mother, Gloria Johnson of Charlottesville, Va.; her sisters, Kathy Page and husband, Dennis of Charlottesville, and Linda Martin of Quinton, Va.; and her brother, Mike Johnson of Richmond, Va.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her adopted mother/grandmother, Sue Huron of San Saba; the Flores family and Aunt Debbie, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Fred Johnson and her aunt, Dot Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012, at The Father’s House, with Pastor Tom Brand officiating. The family will have a private interment at a later date. Friends may sign the guest book at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com. Funeral services are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Chapel, 1205 S. High St., San Saba, TX; (325) 375-1114.
