Investigators in San Saba have released the name of the slain caretaker in the double murder near San Saba for which two suspects are being held.
San Saba County Sheriff’s Office confirms that the body of Bonnie Harkey was found Monday, buried in Leon County. The body of her caretaker Karen Johnson was discovered by her young son at the Harkey residence Sunday evening.
Sheriff Brown states that 28-year-old Carl Wade Pressley and Lillian King have been charged in the death of Johnson. Pressley is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond and King’s bond was set at $250,000, both are being held at the San Saba County Jail. Officials said Pressley is an adopted grandson of Harkey.
Autopsies have been ordered on the bodies of both victims according to authorities. More details are pending according to officials.
