PressleyCarlSSCSOOne man was arrested and another “person of interest” is being questioned Monday in connection with a double murder in the area of Harkeyville near San Saba, Texas.

The San Saba County Sheriff’s Office reports that they were called to a home on State Highway 190 West Sunday evening to the report of an unconscious woman. Once there, officials found the body of a woman whose name has not been released and is reported to be the caretaker of the owner of the home.

Authorities also discovered that an elderly woman, 86-year-old Bonnie Harkey, was missing from the home. A family member reports to BrownwoodNews.com that Bonnie Harkey’s body was later found by authorities several counties away.

On Monday, 28-year-old Carl Wade Pressley (pictured) was arrested charged with murder in the case. A second person is being questioned.

Initially, the San Saba County Sheriff’s office and volunteer fire department searched the area, for Bonnie Harkey.  Sheriff L.A. Brown said that a DPS helicopter equipped with thermal imaging and Texas Department of Criminal Justice tracking dogs were brought in to assist in the search which was later called off.

Reports indicate that a young child, who was at the home at the time, found the body of the caretaker.

San Saba County Sheriff’s officials stated Monday that the investigation is continuing and details will be released as they are determined.

KXAN.com of Austin contributed to this report.
