The American Southwest Conference today announced its men’s tennis players of the week and Howard Payne University senior Edward Martinez was honored as the West Division Player of the Week.

Howard Payne senior Edward Martinez (La Feria, TX / LFHS) won at No. 1 singles and doubles against Kansas Wesleyan and NCAA Division Dallas Baptist. Martinez also fueled a pair of team victories, including a 5-4 decision with DBU. He teamed with Luis Vallecillo and Jacob Cadena in doubles.
