Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, February 21, 2012.

Friday, February 17

*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Thomas Johnson for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd.

Saturday, February 18

*Early Police arrested 19-year-old Timothy Arellano of Hermleigh for Theft of Property Less than $50/Enhanced and Prohibited Weapon Switchblade.  According to Early Police Department, Arellano was shoplifting at Allsup’s and was located by officers after he had left the scene.  Arellano confessed to the crime and when officers searched him, a butterfly knife was found on his person, according to EPD officials.

Sunday, February 19

*2:36pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 1000 Fisk, Newbury Apartments, regarding burglary.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject burglarized her vehicle.

*3:54pm-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject stole $100 from her wallet at her  place of employment.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested Tony Benton for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

Monday, February 20

*6:01am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Slayden regarding a runaway.  According to the report, the complainant’s daughter had run away sometime during the night and the complainant had no information on where her daughter might have gone.

*10:14am-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Center Avenue to pick up a baggie believed to contain a small amount of marijuana.  According to the report, a tenant reported finding the baggie in the lobby to the manager who then called the police.  The baggie was recovered and logged into evidence for destruction.

*10:22am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Brady Avenue.  During the stop, the driver, identified as 32-year-old Dakota Sunshine Scheriger was found to have a suspended driver’s license and was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid/Surcharge Due-No Insurance.

*3:24pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 500 block of 8th Street.  During the stop the driver, identified as 49-year-old Patrick Michael O’Connor, was found to have a suspended driver’s license, according to police reports.  O’Connor was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 54-year-old Thomas Charles Valadez for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Jesse Luna Pesina, Jr. and 31-year-old Monica Pesina.  Both were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 Less than 1 gram in a Drug Free Zone.

Tuesday, February 21

*1:23am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of 4th Street.  According to the report, it was determined that the driver, 27-year-old Vanessa Galvan Vasquez had been consuming an alcoholic beverage while operating a motor vehicle.  After performing the field sobriety tests, Vasquez was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.

*1:58am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant advised that she and her mother had been in a fight.  The complainant stated that her mother had elbowed her in the eye when she unplugged the television.  In return the complainant hit her mother in the eye and both began pulling each other’s hair.  Notices to Adult Family Violence forms were issued to both mother and daughter and the incident documented.

*2:31am-Brownwood Police received a report of an assault from a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her husband had assaulted and injured her.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
