Child Welfare Board Announces Kids Poster Contest

ContestChildWelfareBdAgain this year, the Child Welfare Board is hosting a poster contest for Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month in April.   Kids from across Brown County are invited to design a poster related to the theme of child abuse prevention.

Judging will be divided into five grade groups:  K-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-6th, 7th-8th, and 9th-12th

First and Second Place prizes will be given in each age group:   each First Place Winner will receive $50.00 in Brownwood Bucks.  Each Second Place Winner will receive $25.00 in Brownwood Bucks.  Grand Prize Winner will receive an additional $100 in Brownwood Bucks. (Grand Prize Winner will be selected from the First Place winners.)

Entries must be turned in to the Heartland Mall Office by 5:00pm, March 9th, 2012 and will not be returned.  Only one entry per person – any size or medium.  In pencil, label a back corner of the entry with the following information:  full name, parent’s name, phone number, school grade, school name.

Entries will be displayed at Heartland Mall during the month of April.  Prizes will be awarded to the winners on stage at 2:30 pm at Heartland Mall, on Saturday, April 21, 2012.

Join the Child Welfare Board on April 21 from 12–3:00pm at Heartland Mall for free children’s ID kits, free children’s activities and more.
