WilliamsDelphineDelphine Williams, age 73 of Bangs, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012, in Bangs.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm, Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the New Testament Holiness Church, in Bangs.  Burial will follow in Bangs Cemetery.  Pastor Ronnie White and William Jones will officiate the service.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 17, 2012, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Delphine Loraine Williams was born May 2, 1938, in San Diego, California, to Herbert and Pearl Grant.  She married John Williams in Hallettsville, TX, on November, 26, 1976.  She was a member of the New Testament Holiness Church of Bangs, where she played the piano.  Delphine loved many things, but first and foremost she loved her Lord, Jesus Christ.  She also loved gardening and canning foods.  Delphine also enjoyed fishing, and went with her husband, John, every chance she got.  An interesting fact about Delphine was the she really enjoyed watching tennis and golf on television.

She had many endearing qualities about her such as: a wonderful sense of humor, wise intellect, tremendous work ethic, and a sincere compassion for people.  Delphine was well traveled; she saw many different places with John.  She even attended the World Fair in St. Louis, MO.  Delphine was a kind soul and a wonderful friend; she will be missed by all that knew her.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, John Williams.

Survivors include her brother, Joe Gray; and cousin, Bobbie Jones.
