Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Kaye Ellen Hudson pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further Hudson, on probation of the felony offense of Tampering with a Governmental Record, was adjudicated and sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Doyle Himes pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 7 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jose Luis Estrada pled guilty to the felony offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.  Further, Estrada, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, was revoked and sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Also, Estrada, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Danny Ray Boyd, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering or Fabricating Physical Evidence, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Ruben Savala Salazar pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

William Robert Steiner, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, was revoked and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jonathan Michael Garrett, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Building, was revoked and sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Denver James Way, III, on probation for the felony offense of Hindering a Secured Creditor was adjudicated and sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
