Funeral services for Isidra Donzalez Covarrubias will be Friday February 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel, Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM.
She passed away at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center Monday at the age of 85.
Isidra was born May 9, 1926 to Cesario and Felipa Gonzalez Covarrubias at Zacatecas, Mexico. She was a member of the Christ Is The Answer Church in Bangs, Texas. She has lived in Brown County for the past 12 years. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Ms. Covarrubias is survived by her daughter Elena and husband Raul Arredondo of May, Texas; her grandchildren Robert Arredondo of Santa Maria, California, James Arredondo of Castaic, California, Rosa Colby of Jacksonville, Florida, and Yesenia Arredondo of May, Texas; and nine great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers Raul Covarrubias of Santa Maria, California, and Donato Covarrubias of Denver, Colorado, her sisters Adela Nartatez of Santa Maria, California and Carmen Mendoza of Las Vegas, Nevada.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Lugardo Covarrubias and a younger brother.
