Law Enforcement Blotter 2/8: Graffiti at BHS & Surrounding Neighborhood

Brownwood Police were dispatched to Brownwood High School at 2100 Slayden Street regarding criminal mischief shortly before 8:00am on Tuesday.   According to the report, graffiti written in silver spray paint was found on multiple locations on the exteriors of the Brownwood High School weight room and the BISD Alternative school. 

Additional calls came in of graffiti on a storage building on 1st Street (pictured above), a fence on Elizabeth (pictured below), and a Chevy Silverado at a residence on Greenway which were damaged when unknown suspects sprayed graffiti on them.  No arrests had been made at the time of the report.  The investigation is ongoing. 

In other unrelated law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, February 08, 2012: 

Monday, February 6 

*3:43pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding an assault which occurred in the 1600 block of Calvert Road.  A suspect has been identified according to the report 

Tuesday, February 7

*3:55pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Southside, Brownwood Accelerated High School regarding females fighting in the parking lot.  According to the report, the females were issued citations and were also given school discipline.

*7:32pm-Brownwood Police received a report of harassment at the Law Enforcement Center.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she believes an ex-boyfriend posted a picture of her on Facebook which she felt was embarrassing and that he did this “to make her look like a bad person.”  The complainant wishes to pursue charges, the report states.

*9:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect stole his mountain bike from in front of the Budget Inn.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Juan Luis Barron for an outstanding warrant and placed him on a Border Patrol Hold.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
