The American Southwest Conference today announced its women’s basketball players of the week and Howard Payne University guard Brittany Roberson was honored for the second time this season.

WEST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Brittany Roberson

Howard Payne senior guard Brittany Roberson (Lone Star, TX / Hughes Springs HS) averaged 12.5 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals to fuel a pair of conference victories, including a 79-64 home win over Concordia Texas to create a tie for first place in the ASC West Division. Roberson also shot 40 percent from the floor and hit all seven of her free-throw attempts.

Roberson’s play has helped the Lady Jackets to 15 wins in their last 16 games.
